Shakau, Other Boko Haram Fighters Are In Trouble As Nigeria Military Modern Equipment Arrives

Sooner than ever, Nigerians may begin to experience unfettered peace any time from now, as some of the sophisticated modern equipment ordered by the Buhari-led administration, arrives the country.

President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement on Monday night, made this known, and further revealed that some other are currently being cleared at the Ports, while others are in their way.

Sequel to this, the President enjoined all Nigerians, to excercise patience and expect substantial improvement over the insecurity situation in the country.

In his words, he said:

Speaking further, President Buhari said; “I ask for some patience with the acquisition of equipment, especially with the impact of Covid-19 on global supply chains. And then when the equipment arrive, we need to train personnel for their usage, ahead of deployment to the field.”

The President concluded, and said; “I want all Nigerians to rest assured that we are doing our very best in this regard. You will see substantial improvements very soon. Security of the lives and property of all Nigerian people will continue to be a priority for us.”

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari, earlier on Monday, met behind closed doors with the 6 governors of the North East Zone and Security Chiefs, Yemi Osinbajo, Babagana Monguno and Ibrahim Gambari, among others in Abuja.

The Governors at the security meeting, includes; Chairman and Governor of Borno, Prof. Babagana ZulumBala Mohammed (Bauchi State), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe State), Ahmadu Fintri (Adamawa), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe) and Darius Ishaku (Taraba).
